Brown and his cousin, second-year Ravens wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, shared social media on Wednesday of their time working out on a practice field with Jackson, the NFL's reigning MVP. That was on the heels of the Browns hitting the gym with former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson on Tuesday.

Antonio and Marquise have ties to Hollywood, Fla., as Miami-area natives — thus the latter's nickname. Jackson hails from nearby Boynton Beach. Although the three Floridians didn't follow coronavirus-related social distancing guidelines with their group hug, there sure was plenty of distance between Jackson and Antonio when they connected on a deep ball during a well-executed vertical route.

NBA Draft Combine 2014: Embiid, Parker, Wiggins will not participate

  • NBA

When team personnel arrives in Chicago for the predraft combine to evaluate this year's crop of talent, they will not see three players who could land as pick Nos. 1-3 in the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft.

Joel Embiid, Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins will all forgo the combine in favor of focusing on private workouts, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Embiid and Parker were not on the list of players set to participate in the combine, and Wiggins dropped out once it was confirmed Embiid and Parker were out, Wojnarowski reports.

NBA MOCK DRAFT: Where Embiid, Parker, Wiggins land

Wiggins was the only player without any questions leading into the combine, while Embiid and Parker each have questions about health and athleticism, respectively. But one source told Wojnarowski this move also was a way to limit the amount of teams with access to their health information.

"To be honest," one general manager told Yahoo! Sports, "I'm surprised more guys don't do this. It's the only thing they can really control."

Embiid was the biggest question headed into this position, as he dealt with a back injury that hurt his ability to play at Kansas. Embiid, who averaged 11.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks, missed the final six games of the season after undergoing back surgery to correct a stress fracture.

Jonathan Martin, Gatorade trash LeBron's Game 1 cramp departure

  • NBA

49ers offensive lineman Jonathan Martin, who quit the Dolphins last season after his involvement in a bullying scandal and added criticism from teammates, was one of many to chime in on the final moments of Game 1 of the NBA Finals  on Thursday night.

As we all know, the air conditioning in the AT&T Center broke midway through the game and the arena reached temperatures of nearly 90 degrees. The result was LeBron James needing  to leave the game late in the fourth quarter because his body shut down with severe cramps.

Thursday night around 11:45 p.m. ET was a good time for a lot of people to put down Twitter, and many should have done so. Now, granted, Martin's comments are hardly scathing, but his decision to delete the tweet suggests that he is aware it wasn't. the best idea.

But he wasn't the only one, and it would be unfair to single him out even though he is in a unique situation.

Jordan’s mark is 32,292 points. Bryant heads into Tuesday’s game in Sacramento at 32,230, just 62 points away from passing Jordan. With games on Friday (Spurs) and Sunday (Timberwolves), Bryant would need to average 21.0 points in his next three games to make the record his.

Bryant has averaged a league-high 25.2 points this year, though he scored just 14 points in his last outing against New Orleans.

But Bryant said moving past Jordan has not really been on his mind.

“I only think about it when I am asked about it,” Bryant said. “I just go out there and play. It’s something that is going to come eventually.”

Bryant bristled at the notion that he has long set out to break all of Jordan’s NBA marks. His desire to be a Jordan clone was his reputation when he first came into the league, and it was solidified three years ago when Phil Jackson said Bryant’s goal was to pass Jordan.
